I think he probably wanted the fight because it’s in Florida. He also turned down several fights before this, so I think he believes Buckley is the easy matchup. I can’t count him out after losing to a previous champ.

I don’t care if it’s 12:45 or 11:45. it’s too late. I’m not sure what the idea behind this is. Main fight should start no later than 10pm. That should be the rule across the board. It’s like Dana has to load up these undercard with as many bum fights as possible. Fights nobody cares to see. Start them earlier in that case. At 2pm if necessary. Just to get that main event on earlier. This isn’t even a damn pay per view
The last sentence is why it doesn’t matter. I think this card and time slot is mostly concerned with contractual obligations to espn. I could be mistaken, but I think that’s it.

This is the truth. There is zero need for 13 fights per card. A whole card shouldn’t require a 7 hour commitment. 8 fights would be about right.
The arena is always a ghost town until halfway through, so even those paying to be there don’t want it.
