Fresh off a knockout victory over Mike Perry in July, Jake Paul will face the legendary [Mike Tyson](https://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/mike-tyson-mma-news/mike-tyson-admits-training-is-a-little-shaky-ahead-of-boxing-return-against-jake-paul-its-hard-to-walk-right-now/). The two were previously booked to clash in the summer, but health issues forced the 58-year-old boxer out of the matchup. Heading into the contest, PFL CEO [Peter Murray](https://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/jake-paul/pfl-ceo-opens-up-on-jake-pauls-mma-debut-ahead-of-mike-tyson-bout-his-opponent-will-be-very-credible/) is understandably supporting Jake Paul. Early last year, the YouTuber-turned-fighter signed with the UFC’s number-one competitor. While Paul has been busy with boxing, he’s repeatedly discussed his plans to fight in the cage. According to Murray, his promotional debut could be happening sooner than many expect. Speaking in a recent interview with _Bloody Elbow_, the promoter was asked about Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. There, Peter Murray confirmed that the YouTuber was still signed to the PFL, and will compete in the cage next year. However, the PFL CEO didn’t respond to his offer. Instead, it seems they’ve already got some plans for the YouTuber’s promotional debut. According to Murray, the company is building a massive card for early next year. “We have a partnership with Jake and we’re looking forward to supporting him in MMA.” The PFL CEO stated in the interview. We’re going to stage that mega event next year and more to come on that too, that will happen. It wouldnt be all that surprising if he could beat Nate even in MMA at this point. Hes much bigger, stronger, younger, hits much harder and is way quicker and more athletic. Nate is a sloth and barely even tries to force grappling exchanges which is obviously where he has the advantage. Plus Jake has already tested part of his game in that boxing match so has some feel for what its like to fight him. He knows he can get to Nate plenty, and drop him, even with the bigger gloves. ---

Whats he gonna do? sprint across the ring and get him with a power double? throw calf kicks? We all know how Nate fights. He boxes in slow motion and relies on his chin and cardio to drown people. He doesnt kick, he doesnt really try to initiate grappling exchanges. You’re probably right that he could still beat some top 10 WWs but thats because he can beat them with that approach because they’re not as good at boxing as him. ---

If he was going to take a couple years training his grappling and fighting cans first I’d probably be interested, but every fight with him has to be a big show so he’ll fight a couple old/small guys and be done. ---
