Mike Musumuci pulls huge numbers for them in Asia. He’s bigger than the Beatles there. This is a huge blow to One Fc. They are def gonna fold after this huge blow to their roster.

The Singapore-based firm said in a statement on Wednesday that it had decided to lay off “a few dozen” employees, without specifying how many. One Championship said then that the move was part of its “overall strategic plan to bring the company to profitability in the coming months”.

Love following the kid. He is different, no doubt, and I’m sure that turns some people off. He doesn’t cuss, isn’t “street”.
Look at what he did w his body. Pretty incredible, and he somewhat succeeded (minus the hydration).
Watch his matches. Always nice, humble. I respect his demeanor, and I see it in many young BJJ guys. Think of one guy in my gym that similar. As an old guy, I appreciate those types.
I was shocked by him leaving one, it’s a bummer. Not sure what’s next. He’s not n mma guy imo.

Oh shit!! I knew the clock has been ticking for ONE but they might finally be going under. It’s a shame because they had so much momentum for awhile. Unfortunately Chatri is a scumbag and they are a poorly mismanaged org just like PFL. I’m a fan of ONE and want them to succeed and hopefully treat their fighters better too.

I suppose they should just downscale and focus on the stars and fights that are a big draw for them instead of having such a huge roster and muay Thai, boxing, kickboxing, MMA and jiu jitsu matches and MMA and WMMA.
Just focus on your core audience and core product that people want to see.
Me personally, I want pride rules MMA and I could care less about bjj matches.
BJJ tournaments are the most boring thing in the world – unless it’s Marcelo Garcia competing then it’s the most exciting.

They used to have Pride rules but think they banned soccer kicks ☹
You can still knee to the head of downed opponents though.

Without differentiating and offering something better than the UFC when it comes to MMA they are just a minor league, MMA with less talent.

Ok, I’m going to be “that guy.”
I agree, BJJ as a spectator is boring. But ONE FC doesn’t have bjj matches, they have submission wrestling, no-gi grappling, whatever you want to call it. I know you know that.
I have no problem with one or two 10 min submission grappling matches per card, especially if they feature young talent who eventually plan to compete in mma.
