I thought he looked good for his first UFC fight, He didnāt appear to suffer from the UFC debut jitters & he wasnāt out of his depth. Heās not going to beat the elite 185 pound fighters but heāll be involved in some entertaining fights & become a contender IMO.

Meerschart is a bum. If he struggled with him, heās in trouble.
I wouldnāt say he struggled with him too badly considering 185 is a new weight class for him & he was making his UFC debut. Meerschartās no bum. He no contender but he a solid journeyman-level fighter.
As I said, de Ridder is unlikely to become champion but I think heāll develop into a decent mid-tier contender.
