Would the counter argument not be, Mr. Axe Murderer, you likely accrued most of your damage while throwing chingasos for another company. Sue them.

Is there any way for him to claim the damage he got in Pride since the UFC bought it?

It’s so clouded with this shit.

We see this all the time in pro wrestling with WWE/Vince getting sued tho.

Everytime it’s concluded you wrestled for years before the WWE, you had your stint in the promotion.

Then you wrestled for years afterwards in other promotions.

So it’s dropped you were never held at gunpoint you knew the risks etc. You get fuck all.

We look at Wand it’s years before in PRIDE. With multiple fights in one night in some cases.

Then UFC then Bellator…

You bought a lot more than the tape library from Pride. Lawsuits too.
That said Wandy is a savage. Super nice guy the couple times I met him.

He didn’t type, much less say any of that “statement”. We’ve all heard him speak before.

I feel bad for anyone with CTE but I dont believe there’s a single UFC fighter ever who was unaware that fighting causes brain damage. None of them are ever concerned about it until they start feeling the effects.

Friend of mine worships Wand. One time he came out with us to BWW’s for a Shogun Rua fight and would just keep screaming, “Wanderleiiiiiiiii!” Eventually he gets thrown out, and 5 minutes later here he is dressed like the “fuck her right in the pussy” guy only he is wearing Rua Vale Tudo shorts instead of jeans (he put his disguise on in his car).

He is trying to lay low but he is drunk as shit. Finally he yells again, “Wanderleiiiiiiiii!” Instant call to the police.

Police show up and he keeps going, “Im a black belt, fight me! Wanderleiiiii!” (He actually is a brown belt, and a very good one.) Police drag him outside where he continues to try to fight the police. Eventually they take him down and while cuffing him he is screaming, “Wanderleiiiii! Wanderleiiiiii, Wanderleiiiiiii!” Over and over.

Once they got him all cuffed up he faked an asthma attack thinking going to the hospital would get him off the hook.

Now every time I see him I yell, “Wanderleiiiiiii!”

I love Gio.

After Chris Benoit doing what he did due to cte I’m sure it’s in the back of the mind of anyone taking blows to the head, I.e. fighter, boxers, wrestlers and football players. Before that it was consider an exception and not the rule but in the last 10 years I think it has become more accept led that everyone taking power shots to the head will suffer down the line.

And yet there’s currently no shortage of fighters willing to get their heads bounced off the floor.

This is just proof that he indeed is suffering from a brain injury.

i think hes just bringing up the current lawsuit that has to do with profit sharing, and then to further the point of what he is owed in the profit sharing, he is saying ‘look what i sacrifice.’

Spencer Fisher:

I need urgent medical attention and treatment now including physical therapy, chiropractic therapy, counseling and neurological treatment,” Fisher wrote in his statement. “I have not been receiving the necessary care to maintain my health due to the expenses of health care which I cannot afford. In addition to healthcare expenses, I face serious challenges in meeting basic everyday expenses for food, shelter, and transportation. My family has endured times without electricity and other utilities due to my struggles with mental health, and I have not been able to provide the financial support that my eight-year-old and two toddlers need. My wife and I just had our 4th child and it’s been extremely challenging to focus on my mental health, my physical health, and especially my financial health to take care of my family properly.

My wife deserves better. My family deserves a healthier me and I desperately need help now—not years from now. This would truly be life-changing money for me and for other members of the class.

Cung Le:

Due to the strain of my current health limiting my everyday activity from working consistently, I’ve been relying on a friend who, through God’s provision, has generously sponsored my essential needs, including food and shelter, while I await the settlement of this case. Without this support, I would likely need to file bankruptcy and apply for disability to manage my basic living and healthcare needs

Shane Carwin:

Despite having a degree in engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, I have been unable to maintain adequate focus to hold down an engineering job. I face serious challenges in meeting basic everyday expenses for food, shelter, and transportation and in basic life skills necessary to function.

These funds would also allow me to obtain the healthcare I need and keep a roof over my head and food on my table. The sad reality is that funds years from now may be of no use to me. I desperately need these funds now.
