Really hard to prove brain damage caused specifically by the fights he took with the UFC when he had a lengthy career before and kept fighting after his time there.

It is what it is. Brain damage will become more common among retired fighters.
If the UFC would implement my rules, it wouldn’t be an issue.

Verdum is full of shit. Blame his injuries on all the fights prior to the UFC. He’s trying to get money via lies and scam lawyers…

Just like boxing, the gloves allow fighters to absorb too much punishment.
After a few hits without the gloves, you’re either going down or the guy is going to break his hand.
The gloves allow people to hit each other over and over for 3 to 5 rounds, jarring the brain and causing potential longer term damage.
Without the gloves, you’ll also see people finishing from the back again.
You can’t slide your hand in with those things on unless the other guy is a complete fish.
But we won’t see it again because the humanoids want a boxing match and not a real fight.
