BKFC Teases Massive Eight-man, $25 Million Tournament for 2025

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is planning for a massive 2025.

BKFC president David Feldman recently teased on MMA Today with Din Thomas and Alan Jouban that he plans to reveal a massive BKFC tournament. The winner will earn a $25 million prize, and the official announcement is coming soon.

“I’m about three weeks out from announcing this, but I’m going to announce the biggest tournament in combat sports history with the largest prize that’s ever been on a tournament in combat sports history,” Feldman said.” I’ll just give you a little hint: it’s going to be a $25 million prize, and we’re going to be on the search for someone really special.”
While the details of this insane tournament were sparse, Feldman did say he will hold tryouts for the upcoming event, and anyone from any promotion is welcome to try to nab the gigantic prize.

“We’re going to do tryouts like we already do,” Feldman said, “I think we’re going to grab, like, a thousand people. We’re going to narrow it down to 24, and then we’re going to get rid of 16, and we’re going to have eight that are left standing, and that’s going to be the guys that are going to fight for the real money. Everybody else is going to get paid along the way, but they’re going to fight for the real prize.”

“Anybody from all over the world,” Feldman concluded. “Anybody from any organization, from any combat sport, anybody is welcome to do this. Not much more I can say about it right now; it’s going to be when I announce it, I think people are going to be, like, ‘Holy sh–t, this is unbelievable.’”

So, BKFC plans to change a fighter’s life forever. While there have been plenty of one-million-dollar tournaments, such as Bellator’s Grand Prix and Professional Fight League (PFL) yearly season - nothing even comes close to a $25 million tournament.

What makes this particularly intriguing is that anyone from any combat sport can try and enter—imagine Ryan Garcia , K-1 champion Yodkhunpon Weerasakreck, or Nate Diaz making the leap to BKFC.

Regardless, this is the wide open take on all comers from any organization call out that’s been missing from fight sports outside of the Ngannou stuff, and BKFC may have a banger on their hands for going this route. Puts them on the map for sure.

Triller has been the majority owner since 2022.

After years of trying to go public, Triller merged with some Hong Kong company and had their IPO last month (ILLR) and the total market cap of the company is $578m

Before going public, they had a bunch of debt including over $20m in unpaid music licensing fees last year.

Unless there is an outside investor bankrolling this tournament or they are going to pay the winner in Triller stock, this is not a company that otherwise has that much cash on-hand to give away as a tournament prize.
