Turns out I’ve seen him fight live.

Found out there would be a show in Rotterdam while visiting Amsterdam. Douwes fought along with a shit ton of other names that would be elite in Bob Schrieber’s retirement fight- Spong, Struve, Ignashov, Yvel:

One hell of a fight card, 39 fuckin’ fights on this event.

Can’t believe I’d never heard of it before now. A few legends there.

Am I remembering wrong or was the last Rico/Rigters fight basically that Levi took more punishment heading into the final (leg injury maybe?) and that kind of effected how things played out? I havent watched it since that night but I think I got the impression at the time that a healthy Levi would have been a problem for him.
