American former UFC fighter Greg Hardy has spoken out before his fight against Russian boxer Alexey Papin.
Hardy and Papin will fight at the tournament at the Megasport Sports Palace in Moscow on Friday, December 13.
“Alexey Papin is a great champion, and I’m really happy to fight him because he has a good track record. He’s a really strong fighter, and for me this is a chance to show everyone that I’m a good fighter too. So I’m really happy to go against him.
Very pleasant emotions. I came to Russia. This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Everyone is very nice, I’m having a great time. I’m really happy to be here, to be in this atmosphere,” Hardy said in an interview with REN TV.
If there’s one thing I know about Russians, and I know a few of them, it’s that they LOVE black guys. Greg should stay and go out drinking with a bunch of them some night.
Remember travelling through Siberia and stopping at a few local towns, drinking with locals.
Great people, not bothered I could not speak Russian at all, quite happy to give me long explanations of things in Russian.
I went to Tibilisi in Soviet Georgia twice back in the 1990’s to attend wrestling tournaments. I found the people nice but the food was horrible. Parts of the city were pristine and others were filthy. It seemed everyone smoked, even the Soviet wrestlers!
Maybe 1980’s? Because in 90’s, Georgia was no longer Soviet. And by smoking you mean cigarettes? Because nowadays the weed has been decriminalized in Georgia, so I would imagine it’s pretty popular as well
Yep, mid 80’s … I had a "senior moment. I looked back through my stuff from those days. You are 100 percent right. It’s weird, someone says something happened 20 years ago and one thinks, oh yeah, back in the 90’s. It seems the older one becomes (I am 74) the faster time goes.Yes, I meant cigarettes and they were particularly odiferous, must have been really strong or else something blended with the tobacco. Strangely, I never saw anyone smoking a pipe.
