if he ko’d an old man, it would be detrimental to his show in the future… he has to try and maintain some level of legitimacy

It was probably written into the contract.
Mike lost his legs within a round and was a sitting duck.
The Tyson that fought RJJ in 2020 would have stiffened Paul but his joints are shot.

I don’t think it would be written in a contract. That could get subpoenaed and get them in big shit.
Tyson had to be hospitalized for health reasons a few months back. Of course there was going to be a gentlemen’s agreement to do little damage.

I got the feeling Tyson’s heavily strapped right leg was compromised after the second round. He was barely capable of movement.

In my unpopular opinion I don’t think he was carrying him. I think he was legit cautious to engage in fear of catching a counter. He felt Mike’s power in the first 2 rounds and knew one clean shot could still put him down. There were a few times when he did move in and almost got clipped. A younger healthy Tyson would have ended him quick.

His answer at the end of the fight led me to believe the opposite. Sounded like he wasn’t actually giving it his all, even though obvioualy he said he did.

Oh fuck that bullshit. most of us didn’t get to watch the fight because of Netflix and their issues. What a disaster for them. They wasted my entire fucking night. I could have been watching the Golden Girls.

I think Tyson was over the hill. And Paul played it safe.
