I’m glad too see you made it here and are being more active here.
Always appreciated your insight and knowledge.
Also enjoy knowing what other solid flicks you’re adding to the collection lol.
Again glad you’re here. I wish other old school warriors would come here, but pieces of spam like these trolls just make the majority of them say “to hell with this”
I was smoking woodbines with Jackie Chan the other day while we gotta some paint and we both remarked that MMA forums were better when the pros used to post.
Now I don’t disagree with jackie, but I hold a firm belief that community members can make the balance.
At this point I’m obviously very wrong and if you have any mates that did Kung Fu bring them over.
I’m pretty sure Don Wilson was a San Shou Kung Fu practitioner before getting into kickboxing. San Shou a totally different animal than your other Wushu-orientated Kung Fu styles. It’s more of a combatives system than a TMA.
As for Jason Delucia tell me one impressive thing he did ( aside from getting his ass handed to him by Royce Gracie twice ) before he hooked up with The Lion’s Den? Everything he accomplished in Pancrace was using Ken Shamrock’s teachings not Kung Fu.
Oh, yeah, I was a big Don “The Dragon” Wilson fan back in the day as well. I’m not putting him down. I’m just pointing out that he wasn’t some soft-style Kung Fu stylist that walked into pro kickboxing & began kicking ass. He came from a San Shou background & had some boxing matches in preparation for his kickboxing career. He, like Bruce Lee, was ahead of his time in that he cross-trained in other things to become a better more complete fighter.
Speaking of Bruce Lee, he’s the one who inspired me to begin training in martial arts & later, combat sports when I was 12. I’m still a massive Bruce Lee to this day. Hell. I have a little shrine set up to him in my townhouse.
