I already said who knows… I’m not acting as if I think AP would definitely beat him, I just think that he has the edge based on being more active with high level sparring.
Both can be KO’d. Pereira got KO’d by Israel and Silva got KO’d by Weidman of all people. Just think that AP has the more solid striking fundamentals, however Anderson is more slick so who knows…

I have no idea. I think Alex at 205 is a lot more dangerous.
I can’t imagine Anderson’s small legs being able to take many of Alex’s kicks.

I feel like Anderson would avoid the bombs and outpoint him. He wouldn’t do any of the cute stuff against such a dangerous striker.
Pretty similar to the Izzy-Alex fights without the finishes.
Every Alex fight has a chance of a KO though.

I feel liek the sport is constantly improving technically as well as the level of athletes entering the competition.
To me, a prime Izzy, Pereira and Dricus beat prime Anderson.
Chael Sonnen ragdolled Anderson for 4.5 rounds.
Chris Weidman knocked him out.
Anderson was also popped for roids.
Anderson was a phenom for his time, but the level of competition, takedown defense, striking defense, submission defense, has all gotten better.
The only way I see him beating those guys is with his grappling but that would require strong takedowns which was not his strong suit.
Fighters who I believe can withstand the test of time the best are wrestlers, even with todays progress.
Like GSP, Jon Jones, Khabib.
Prime Izzy could barely beat broken leg Anderson. I have prime Anderson over Pereira and Dricus.

Word was, Anderson wasn’t about that though. Supposedly when Wand KO’d him in sparring a time or two, he stopped sparring with Wand. So he probably wasn’t doing that to the extent that Wand and Shogun did.
As for the fight OP proposed, I think it’s a good one. Hard to call. If Anderson had better takedowns…
