Conor McGregor will postpone his return to the octagon to face YouTuber-turned-fighter Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match in India within the next two years, the former UFC champion said Tuesday.
Paul rose to fame on YouTube before parlaying his notoriety into a career as a boxer and WWE star. His past bouts have featured fellow YouTuber KSI, former world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather and ex-mixed martial artist Dillon Danis.
McGregor hasn’t fought in any official capacity since suffering a broken leg during a fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021.

Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor is reportedly putting his return to MMA on hold for a boxing exhibition.
McGregor said on X he has agreed to face Logan Paul, ESPN reported.
“I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed,” he wrote. “I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
It wasn’t clear if Paul had agreed to enter the ring with McGregor.
Paul, a YouTuber and older brother to Jake Paul, has appeared in several boxing exhibitions, including one with Floyd Mayweather.
McGregor also faced Mayweather back in 2017.
Last month, a civil court jury in Ireland ruled McGregor must pay more than $250,000 to a woman who accused him of raping her. The 36-year-old McGregor testified that he never forced the woman to do anything against her will and said she fabricated the allegations after the two had consensual sex.
