That 1st event must go for a couple days…lol
4x16 fights?
lol 64 x 8 round fights?

^ They must fight simultaneously in multiple rings.
That would be interesting

I went on a Cornelius Boza Edward’s kick, I vaguely remember him as a fighter, for such a soft spoken guy he was pure violence in the ring. Wasn’t he pretty popular on ESPN ?.. The Chacon highlight reel is worth watching
Boza-Edwards was more of a network television star. He fought on CBS & NBC a lot. Although he may have fought on ESPN late in his career.
But yeah, he was a terrific action fighter & a really nice guy.
We were supposed to fight on the undercard of the Macho Camacho-Chapo Rosario card along with Mike Tyson & Julio Cesar Chavez but the card had so many fights that it went long. And back then, the NYSAC had a silly rule that a fight card had to end by a certain hour so my fight was cancelled.
No worries brother. I really appreciate your input here. Fascinating to talk to someone who has actually exchanged leather with some real names, especially for a 90s boxing kid like me.
BTW were you ever around Frankie Randall? Who do you think wins out of he and Chavez in their primes? IMO Randall would be remembered as a great if he had had a more consistent career (less drugs) and I think he would always have had Chavez’s number. He could fight on the inside, on the outside, going forwards, going backwards and he could crack with both hands. Good defence, too.
Do you remember Triple Threat ? Ray Mercer, Al Cole and Charles “The Natural” Murray , all promoted by Marc Rpberts and pushed heavily on ESPN ? I loved Murray as a kid, all 3 of those guys could fight
I’m sure you remember Freddie Pendleton, lost a bunch of fights at the start of his career, came back to become a world champion, he fought just about everyone in his era
I remember this, watched it live basically “ ring side “
They should just amputate London from the UK and send it to the Middle East. We’ll take their Christians in return.
