Undefeated Mokaev Signs with Brave CF Following Nasty Fallout

Muhammad Mokaev has finally signed with a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion and it’s one he’s very familiar with.

In case you forgot, the undefeated flyweight contender has been searching for a new home for about a month. Mokaev unexpectedly parted ways with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) following his win over Manel Kape at UFC 304 this past July. That was Mokaev’s seventh-straight win inside of the Octagon, but the promotion decided to not re-sign him due to out-of-cage incidents and dirty negotiation tactics regarding a new UFC contract.
UFC’s bad endorsement made it more difficult for Mokaev to find another promotion to sign with. Professional Fighters League (PFL) originally showed interest, but then they flipflopped and decided against signing the ā€œpain in the ass.ā€

Things were not looking good for Mokaev, who just shook off a nasty car accident earlier this week, but things have officially come full circle for the young 24-year-old.

On Saturday, MMA Fighting revealed that Mokaev has re-signed with his former fight promotion, Brave CF. The Bahrain-based promotion has been around for a little while now and actually helped Mokaev start his professional career. From 2020-2021, Mokaev fought five times as a member of the Brace CF flyweight division, producing a 4-0 (1 NC) record and setting himself up for his UFC debut back in 2022.

ā€˜ā€™There has been an unjust persecution of his character and attempts to use defamation to feed personal vendettas, and is evidently clear that there are no clear reasons as to why the best athlete in the world cannot compete,ā€ said Brave CF president, Mohammad Shahid, in a press release. ā€œThis is not what the sport is all about, and for BRAVE CF to have him back is fantastic, and he now can become a voice for all these challenges. Not only that, his return solidifies our ethos to have the best fight the best irrespective of any other variable, be it of creed, sex, color or marketability.ā€

ā€œWe would like to welcome back Muhammad Mokaev, an undefeated superstar, who is an amateur legend, with two IMMAF world titles, and someone who has proven to be the best flyweight in the world, with no losses to his amateur or professional record. This is a very exciting time for Brave CF.ā€

It’s unknown at this time what Mokaev might have to do to get back into UFC (fighting for free won’t do it), but at least he should be able to dominate under the Brace CF banner to keep his perfect record in tact,

His new opponent is 10-5 and likes to beat debuting fighters when he has 8 wins.

Total squash match.
I hope the UFC make him fight another person before they re sign him.

If I had it my way, he would never be back
