Russian UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov told how he reacted to the words of fighter Khamzat Chimaev, who competes in the middleweight division.

Before UFC 267, Chimaev said that he would “come for Volkov in the heavyweight division.”

— And when he [Chimaev] said that he would get you, how did you react then? The first thoughts that came to mind.

— I was scared. Well, you can imagine, a person who destroys everyone in the octagon comes up and says: “I will get you.” Do you know how scary it is? I was scared at first. Then I thought that he was probably joking, and I laughed too.

— I heard a story about how heavyweights, sparring, having some wrestling matches, really lost to Khamzat Chimaev.

— Well, maybe.

Yea he is an evil Islamist with strong ties to terrorists so.

Also looks like he has been, or is involved with shady shit himself.

That said I understand nerves but I feel a fighter, especially at this level.

Should fear NOONE, respect them yes. Lots of respect, but NO fear.
