Ithough Gibert would have won if it was a 5 rounder. I dont think Hazmat will be much bigger than he was in that fight and Bobby is a lot bigger than Burns was.
Hazmats only chance is to run through Bobby fast. If he doesnt finish him or damage him badly in the first two rounds he will be toast
Hazmat is really strong for two rounds. If I was Bobby I’d really try to stick and move early. If he gets take down early in the first it could be bad. Hazmat really slows down after two rounds, Bobby can pick up the pace midway through the second
That would be a wise game plan for Bobby. It’s tough to stop his takedowns though. Counter striking and being very diligent with kicks is the path to victory.
Bobby will make Khamzat look like an amateur in striking. Khamzat’s pressure will close that gap a little but Bobby has great counters and has always been able to come up with good strategies. He’s saying he’s getting the knockout so he’s definitely seeing some openings in the tape that he is gonna look to exploit.
Whittaker has out struck way better strikers than Khamzat and lost a very close decision to Izzy not long ago. He has also been fighting the guys at the very top of the division for years. Khamzat has only fought a couple of ranked guys and his best win is Kamaru who had no camp for that fight, and who I also think out struck him (and maybe should have won).
Of course styles make fights so Khamzat’s pressure could cause problems, and I think he gives Bobby all he can handle. But ultimately I don’t think he has fought anyone like Bobby, and it’ll show.
