and then i get bits and pieces of the boys convo and how much confidence max gets from seeing what otto just did…
max will be at non-olympic weight trials next weekend in nebraska… he is already on the U23 world team in albania at 60kg… healthy for the first time in 2 years and i am hoping for a good result…
if he wins the spot on the senior team then he would just stay another week in albania and go up to 63 for senior worlds…
whatever happens, we still got wrestling happening this season…

well, the boy just took off for iowa…
with the roster limits coming into effect for the '25 season, he is heading there not guaranteed a spot on the roster next season… every day is a try out for the next 6 months…
since it is known he is back on the folk scene, some other schools have reached out just seeing what the plan is…
it has been a crazy year and this was never our plan, but, he is excited about being in a room again where he is not the best wrestler…
his BFF has been up there for about 3 weeks as a senior in HS getting pounded on and loving it…
every level is a jump and none of them are easy…
and with the girl child getting a full time job down south a few weeks ago, with that i am now basically an empty nester…

otto took gold at pan ams and then silver at U20 worlds…
max is finally healthy and took a U23 silver in lithuania last month… has non-olympic weight trials this weekend in nebraska and could make his first senior team… will be wrestling in albania at U23 worlds at 60kg and possibly staying there to wrestle 63 seniors the week after… is heading for a tourney and camp in croatia at the end of the month…
