This is the fight and event that got Mezger put off to the UFC
guy always says he doesnt like hurting people
great headbutt, right off the hair pull attempt standing
then that mustached idiot went for it beneath the mount, i really thought guy was gonna punish him for it
but he really didnt. i think guy was telling him to tap out
and decided to go to Pancrase afterwards?
I always enjoyed watching Guy fight. He’s got a very pretty style that looks like he’s in some kind of action movie.
Yeah–he wanted to go to Japan anyway, but this event (his fight, and Bob M.'s reaction to it) pushed him farther over to Pancrase.
What was the bobber’s problem with it?

Hey now.
Mezger won both fight in the UFC the same way–mount, some punches…but asking the opponent to give up. Meyrowitz used to rag on him about that–he wanted Mezger to destroy the opponent. Guy didn’t appreciate that attitude, especially from a non fighter.

Ah, I see, said the blind man. Metger was from the old havanas camp that included billye Jackson and ray mccallum, who were both pretty mean motorscooters, I can see how the same attitude would be expected from guy.
