At least in heel hook, armbar or kneebar you have the opportunity to tap out, concede defeat and save your limb.
Did the poor fellow in the fight with Khalil have an opportunity to save his knee?

Khalil executed a perfectly timed kick and dude was effectively defenseless because he threw a jab.

It comes down to fighters mindset vs martial arts mindset.a fighter will do anything for a win.a martial artist will have ethics that cover the spirirt of combat to all.so tbere is no right or wrong only consequences…this is also a sport and not fight to the death…that being said if your action ends someones career…that karma will eventually come back to you(the god’s of do declare)…only time will tell…

The move might be legal, but I think it speaks volumes to someone’s character if they decide to do it.
