I hope Alex breaks Roundtrees leg

Does the 5th round of Gaethji beating the life out of Ferguson speak volumes to his character?

Does it speak volumes to the character of Robbie Lawler for turning Rory MacDonald’s brain into mash potatoes?

Is Max Holloway a bad person because he kept hitting Gaethji’s broken nose over and over?

You can try to make an equivalence between those things, but you know it’s not the same thing. If you can’t do the math on that, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Shitty analogy

Doesn’t he have crazy reach though?

No one has a chance against a man confident enough to wear a leopard skin tracksuit.

Correct, it’s not the same thing. The examples above caused permanent brain damage, potentially taking years off their lives and setting them up for horrific, permanent, incurable conditions like Parkinson’s disease and CTE.

Comparing that to a knee injury that might require surgery and year of rehab is ridiculous.

I remember everyone calling Paul Harris lucifer for holding a sub 1 second longer

Paul Harris was a gorilla who would disfigure your limbs.

In fact, has anyone who was subbed by Paul Harris ended up being successful in the UFC? Or did he, at minimum, drastically effect, or end their careers? He has 13 subs with variations of leg locks.

There’s only 2 names that Palhares beat by a sub.

John Fitch (kneebar) and Jake Shields (kimura), but both of these guys were beaten in the WSOF after he was kicked out of the UFC. Kicked out for holding a submission not once, but twice in the UFC. The first occurrence was against Tomasz Drwal as it injured him and the second time was against Mike Pierce, who suffered a sprained MCL and a torn ankle ligament.

Palhares was brutal and very quick for his size. If he began rolling for the leg, most dudes tapped before he even got the sub just to live to fight another day.

I do agree with everything you said, but him been kicked out of the UFC because of this is classic Dana bullshit

Yeah let go as soon as THE REF stopped the fight.

The fight is on until the ref stops it. If Paul Harris was kicked out for that the ref should be too.

The main issue was that Mike Pierce was a Zuffa and fan favorite back then

It’s not ridiculous. What you describe is cumulative, the fighter can stop or the corner can throw in towel, or the ref can stop it. There’s time.

With a move like that there is no chance to quit, tap, etc, a split second and the knee is fucked, potentially career wrecking. So yeah, your examples aren’t apt comparisons and you know it.

You’re whining like a bitch about a knee injury that is potentially CAREER ending while being totally comfortable with life altering catastrophic head injuries.

There’s huge disconnect there.

Bottom line there are rules and these are professional fighters who voluntarily get in the cage knowing the risks involved. Any legal technique is fair game.

If you really cared about the health and safety of mma fighters you wouldn’t support the sport by watching it.

You guys complaining sound like giant pussies. Its prize fighting, your opponent is literally trying to knock you out and take half your paycheque. I wish more would fight like theyre being robbed, i hate seeing guys high five and hug each other during the fight.

I didn’t whine about anything, you’re the one acting like an emotional bitch. I made a simple statement giving my take on it. Your vagoo got all sandy and your estrogen spiked sending you into wild hysterics.

So calm your tits, Nancy.

Strickland used to beat up Roundtree and make him quit during practice
