Islam is fighting the #1 guy in his division, while Jones is fighting an #8th ranked 42 year old and ducking the interim champ.

Truth hurts don’t it?

If the past is and indication, half of us would pick BJ to win

BJ Penn is probably like, “Wtf did I do, man?”

Jones is aware that he is past his athletic prime and has a chance to retire undefeated. Let’s see if Islam still feels this way after 13 title defences.

I don’t think the UFC would allow Islam hold up the division like cheat Jones for years though. HW could be exciting if it weren’t for duck.

I understand the many factors for the Jones hate. He’s earned that. At this point in Islams career the ufc wouldn’t hold up the division for him. Jones’ mma record warrants him to call his own shots. He is by and large the GOAT and has two fights left in his career. He’s on a victory lap. Jones isn’t stopping any fights from happening. He’s not going to clear the division. Jon is aware the way this game works. They build you up then want you to stay around long enough to see a shadow of yourself beaten down.

Jones is holding the HW title hostage and should be fighting the interim champ. This isn’t the old timers league where people earn things based on past glory. Islam butchered him with these comments. Jon is damaging his legacy more than anything for a quick buck btw because this has been shining a light on the duck inside him for a long time now. Those who know, know.

That’s the running joke about the mma community. It’s such a fickle, what have you done for me lately fan base. Jones’ legacy should already be set in stone but so many wanna see him fall from grace and get steamrolled by Aspinal who is just entering his prime. Again, I understand the hate for Jones. The funny thing is though, he’s not gonna give the mma community the opportunity to see him flatlined. He’s likely going to ride off into the sunset undefeated. He doesn’t need to beat Aspinall to become the goat. He already is. Everyone else has to chase his greatness. Good luck to any fighter going on a run likes Jon Jones’

He’s the most skilled fighter ever, but not the greatest.

He was caught cheating twice during his run which means he was likely taking PEDs during some of his biggest wins.

Not to mention, the guy is a piece of shit.

You can’t doubt his skills, but you can debate his greatness.

Now matter how you try to spin it, he isn’t running off into any sunset ducking the number 1 contender and interim champ to fight a 42 year old 8th ranked HW. He’s running period.

He’s holding the best hostage.

If he wants to redeem himself and not tarnish his legacy all he has to do is relinquish the title and admit that he doesn’t think he has what it takes to beat real HW contenders at this point, have his silly fight with Stipe without any title being involved and go away.

This is a farce.

He’s not the greatest ambassador of mma, he’s the greatest fighter. He started his ufc career pre USADA fighting against guys on steroids. His criminal activity doesn’t take away from his greatness inside the cage. Nobody talks about Mike Tyson’s legacy being tarnished by him being a criminal, lunatic, rapist. The pile on mob these days on the internet discredits everyone. We hate to celebrate success. We put an asterisk next to everybody’s name. GSP lost the fight to Hendricks and retired, Khabib retired too early, Demetrius’ weight class was too light, Fedor never fought in the ufc.

Arguably lost and was gifted decisions to Gus, Reyes and Santos, beat a bunch of undersized, overaged brazilian guys who would be MW’s by todays standards, second most positive ped tests in UFC history, cherry picking on the way out.

And the longest reach in UFC history along with the eyepoke king.

Everywhere you look is farce. You’re getting swept up in Dana’s hype machine.

Hype machine is a wild statement. Name a better all time LHW. He fought and beat fighters in his weight class. Saying they were undersized is retarded. Like it’s Jon’s fault he is tall. Height is only an advantage if you are skilled enough to use it. With your logic Stefan Struve should be the goat.

Jones was able to fight through adversity and come out as the victor on multiple occasions. That picture above is a testament to his greatness.

Jones would have found a way to fight through an injury like this. He finished Sonnen with his toe hanging off. Jones isn’t just the most skilled fighter, he’s one of the toughest, meanest, most ruthless fighters to ever do it. Remember when he tore Glovers shoulder out and decided he was just going to beat the piss out of him using his elbows.

You go ahead and spin it your way. Your opinion is worthless.

Nobody calls Tyson the GOAT.

Again, he was caught cheating twice. For all we know, he may have been cheating all along. Jones has the best skillset ever, but he’s not the GOAT. Taking this fight with Stipe is embarrassing when there are real contenders who would give him a run for his money.

My opinion? lol literally the entire hardcore MMA community/fighters are mocking Jones the laughing stock for ducking so hard and holding the HW belt ransom. Aspinall has already defended the interim title and wiped out most of the division while Jon Jon is clinging to that one win over the worst grappler he ever faced (Gane) and is talking about fighting fucking Pereira next at HW, a LHW with zero grappling, while still denying Tom.

He’s becoming a joke… not the GOAT. Dragging his own name through the mud.

You’re falling for Dana’s new marketing gimmick. This is how he really feels.
