Has any Jones nuthugger come up with justification yet for why it’s better for him to fight someone who has been inactive for 3 years and who hasn’t even won a fight since 2020 instead of the interim champion Aspinall who has actually been active and has won 7 fights since Miocic last won a fight?

No, they can’t. Other than the claim, it shouldn’t be questioned; otherwise, you are in denial of something. Jons is a great fighter; there is no question he will go down as one of the greats.
I don’t feel like this Stipe fight is going to be so easy (UNLESS he has significantly declined in the last few years, which is possible).
He doesn’t get wrestlefucked. Never submitted. Heart of a lion. The way to beat him is to be a heavy hitter and KO him. That’s not Jones.
I think it’ll be an uninspired Jones UD where people are like “Yeah you probably should retire.”

It sucks because in his prime he was a very prolific fighter/champion as champions should be (to the best of their ability anyway).
The last several years, it’s easy to forget he’s even in the UFC.

Yeah unfortunately. He was calling the cops nerds, pulling the race card, and headbutted the squad car. Its all there in this video. He was very drunk, but regardless of what anyone thinks of Jon this video is sad and he has a serious problem.
It is also another great example of why he can never be the GOAT; the GOAT cannot have all of these unanswered asterisks behind their career.
I do want to say that i do not understand though why the police had him cuffed against the car for so long and didnt just put him in the squad car when he began acting irate.
Hes drunk, has a history with the police, and is obviously a very dangerous man and is not in control; seems irresponsible to risk anyone (including Jon) getting hurt.
And it also needs to be said that THIS is what mental illness looks like under the influence. Zero control over his emotions and is a ticking bomb.
Worst part is Jon never owns up when he fucks up and no one around him cares enough to get him the help he needs.
If he wasnt such a narcissistic PoS id feel more bad for him.
And this is when hes doing well, imagine what he would be like if his life wasnt going well.

Fedor’s losses last his prime don’t really take away from his GOAT run.
Fedor has more finishes than Jones has fights.

I don’t think he would of finished Gustafsson in their second fight if it wasn’t for that deliberate low blow Jones landed on him just 40 seconds into the first round.
Alex was bleeding down there from that and it severely affected his movement in the fight. So many people seem to have forgotten that. Again if there was an immediate point deduction accidental or not this would probably be reduced at least 98% in the sport IMHO.
