Is Jon hurting his legacy in your eyes?

Cleary he’s just cashing out. Jon doesn’t actually believe he’s the best in the world otherwise he’d take the bigger money fight against the actual interim champ instead of getting hounded by the mma world for being a duck at the end of his career.

The more time that goes by the more people are becoming aware of his faults.

Yes he has accomplished a lot like Lance Armstrong did but nobody believes Armstrong is the best bicyclist because he was the biggest cheat, and then you look at how everyone thinks he’s a duck now. Is he trading legacy points in for a gimmick payout against old man Stipe?

hurt it a long time ago. Nobody gives a shit about his fight with Miocic and rightfully see Aspinall as champ.

If he never fights again, UFC wouldnt skip a beat. He has pretty much been gone for 4 years anyways.

Reyes beat his ass too, I don’t see how taking down and subbing a BJJ whitebelt noob like Gane means he can even be competitive against a true HW powerhouse. Tom would bludgeon him.

Greatest fighter in mma history.

Will retire as goat when he feels like it.

If he wanted people to overlook his cheating he should have just left quietly after getting gifted decisions against Reyes and Santos, now he’s bringing attention to the fact he truly looks scared. His reputation has been taking a beating for months and months now after they touted him as the baddest man on the planet.

He’s defeated everyone ever put in front of him. Including the whole lhw division and more ex UFC champs than anyone.

Jon has been the UFC champion for the entirety of Stipe’s UFC career.

From his first fight to his last fight Jon was the 205 champion.

205 was a much more competitive division in the UFC during every minute of Stipe’s title reign.

The weight bully stuff is nonsense. Jon was lighter than most of his opponents. Bader, OSP, Rampage…they all cut as much weight or more than he did.

I strongly dislike Jones, but let’s not get crazy and say he was scared of Stipe

His 2006 GP run was prime Shogun. I was so happy when he beat Machida (both times IMO) but I don’t think it’s fair to call that his prime.

It’s not fair when people pretend he was old and feeble either but he was a ways removed from his prime then
