Jon is a great fighter, very athletic and has a high ring IQ. That being said he’s the most protected fighter in UFC history. Never was asked to fight in his own weight class. Got to dope whenever he wanted and take a vacation when he got caught. He’s a pos human as well.

Jones looked alright but also clearly out of his prime. If he gets forced into a prolonged stand up situation against a big athletic HW with reach and power its gonna be dangerous for him. Even Stipe moving like he was underwater managed to catch him quite a few times.
Stipe looked even worse than expected. Hes always been pretty overrated anyway tbh. Even in his prime if you compare him to the Fedor of 20 years ago hes nothing special in terms of speed, diversity and fluidity of his skillset etc etc. Hes just a very workmanlike fighter who is pretty tough and durable and doesnt have any major weakness. He peaked at a time where the division had lots of big names who were fading which accentuated his status imo.

Emilianegro had nothing for Jones. A Fedor fight vs Jones would go the same way. Fedor would do a little better in a PRIDE match up compared to UFC, though then Jones would be super pico’ed.
