The context is Jon waited until HW lost all the mainstay guys of a decade before he made a HW run while LHW has new challenges for him better than Anthony Smith but he chooses to fight HW.
Like I said, I know guys who trained with Jon and are currently in his camp. He has admitted as much to them. He is very strategic in how he views his career and he understands the risks associated with fighting certain people at certain times. It is fine for him to do so just as it is fine for us to point it out.
Yep, as i said above (but it was ignored by them as usual) if the fight happens its fair to say it will most likely be Poatan that is expected to move up to HW over Jon moving back down.
The truth is I’m not betting against Jon in any fight. That doesn’t stop me from seeing things for what they are.
LHW is better now than when he last fought in it against Smith and Santos. Poor Alex Reyes has been getting demolished since arguably beating Jon.
Hw division is in a weird state where it is rebuilding now that Cain, Ngannou, Stipe, JDS, etc have been gone for years. Stipe pretty much came our of retirement for this fight and hadn’t won a round in 5 years. Like I said in abother thread, there is a good chance Derrick Lewis kos Stipe of last night.
If he wants to fight Pereira thats fine. But what’s not fine is fighting for the belt at HW or holding the HW belt hostage to fight at 205.
Also what bugs me is Jones always lying about his motives. If he said he want to fight Pereira because its an easier fight and he doesn’t want to lose, I’d at least respect him for being honest. But since he wont say it, I’m glad the fans will.
Life isnt fair, people who hold all the cards call the shots. The UFC is just as much an entertainment business as it is a sport, probably money is more important than the sport. Dana can fire anyone and give the title to whoever he wants.
All in all the UFC is the best fighting org in the world. They have the best talent.
Its not fair that Tom wont get his shot, someday he may be in the goat conversation and we will see if he fights a hungry lion when he has one foot out the door. I will bring it up if he ducks too.
With this said I like Tom and I think he would beat Jones, and I will conceed that Jones feels the same way.
The solution is to have Tom fight Alex first, Jones gets the winner. Jones will probably retire if Tom wins, but Alex may win and we get a Jones fight then.
I hate to break it to you but Jon is the GOAT. He may have ducked a few fighters, but he has also beaten the best talent. He struggled against a few but he destryed them in the process. Look at Reyes, Thiago, Guffoston, and even DC, all ruied after their fights or rematches.
I never mentioned Igor, that is just you being a butt hurt virgin trying to start shit. Something youd only do on a forum.
And it takes a certain type of person to feel the need to do that, a certain mentality.
Normal ppl dont need to do that. You need it.
Keep ignoring everything that you cant argue like a child, its all here for everyone else to see. Youre only hurting yourself further.
You have about 3 things you parrot repeatedly while ignoring things presented to you becausevyou have nothing to bring to the table; you have no intelligent facts to back your ridiculous behavior.
