Aspinall makes video ridiculing Jon "duck" Jones

Stealing Chandler’s thunder.

I support Aspinall here. He’s the interim champ so it’s Jon’s duty as champ to fight him next plain and simple. Tom even had to defend his interim title. Jon is holding up the division.

If Stipe agrees with you, I’d say no problem, but until he does, the only duty Jon has is to honor the agreement he and Stipe made before Aspinall’s 3 fight win streak.

Jon and Stipes verbal agreement years ago is completely irrelevant. The champ ALWAYS fights the interim champ unless there is some sort of injury.

Jon is running scared. He wants nothing to do with Tom. Probably the biggest trending story in MMA right now and has been for months.

Do like how Tom is angling for the fight. It would be his biggest paypay to date and if he were to beat Jon it makes his career. We DESERVE this fight!

All GOATS pick their fights carefully. He learned from Silva and Mayweather.

Obviously not until you run the UFC.

Aspinall is basically trying to pull a Jones, beat an old legend to build his legacy on.

Ive said it before I think Tom has an easy road ahead of him, much like Stipe had. Stipe beat a lot of old legends on his way to becoming the goat. Only Khabib had easier competition.

I dont really see anyone that can really challenge Tom forca few years. Tom just needs to stay healthy and he can have half the career that Jones did. I dont think Tom will win as much as Jones did, even if he gets to fight cans his whole career

Well I don’t hate Aspinall for doing this. It is the fight the fans want. He needs to stamp out all doubt to be the legitimate champ. Undisputed.
There is no one else that people want to see Jon fight… it is the only fight to make. Besides, Jon looked good last weekend (against ring rust, old Stipe). I say lets test him.

Hi! How did you know I was reading this thread?!?! Weird

Having the interim champ weigh in for a title fight as an emergency replacement is some pathetic cuck shit. Aspinall should pull an Ngannou because Dana is showing him unbelievable disrespect.

Didn’t he get paid over $200 000 to be prepared just incase? I am sure that softened the blow. He seemed pretty happy up in the VIP lounge.

That’s what I mean though. He was way too happy for the situation. Then as backup fighter he asks the UFC if he can have a beer, is told not a good idea, then has a couple beers right before the fight like he’s a real badass getting one over on them.

Then after the fight, he’s all giddy about “big news” that he can’t tell us yet, which I’m pretty sure whatever that was turned out to be another cock teasing fake promise from the UFC.

He’s a great fighter but comes off as a bitch from this whole situation. Dana and Jones treat him like a bitch and he lets it happen.

He didnt have any alcohol the main event was up.

They interviewed him and he said his father texted Hunter and asked if Tom could have a beer.

Hunter told him once the main event started, he was good to go.

What a ridiculous contention. Aspinall is the interim champ, Jones holds the belt. Jones should have fought Aspinall so the title could have been unified but instead he fought Stipe.

Jones sought a fight with a retired fighter who isn’t even in the conversation, this is nothing like Aspinall wanting the Jones fight so he can get the actual title.

Sounds like you’re clutching at straws to call him a bitch.

He just wants to prove his status as the best heavyweight in the world, by fighting the best and has done everything he can do on his end to do so.

Who wouldn’t want to get paid 200k just to be there? If he did need to step in he also gets what he wants, win/win.

If anyone looks bad its Jones for wanting to choose who gets to fight for the title (choosing someone coming off a loss who hasnt fought in years) and the UFC for allowing him to do it.
