Poatan Buys Parents a Mansion in Brazil

Alex Pereira travels the world rolling on expensive supercars and celebrating life as UFC champion, but the MMA superstar doesn’t forget his roots.

“Poatan”, who recently returned from a trip to Korea, shows how much his life has changed since joining the UFC and quickly climbing to the top of two divisions.

Days after posting a picture of a gold UFC bracelet and hundreds of dollars in a yellow Ferrari, adding that “I remember when my sons were on their last pair of diapers and I didn’t have money to buy new ones,” he celebrated buying his parents a new home.

Now living in Danbury, Conn., Pereira posted two photos with a heartwarming before and after, from a humble home in the Sao Bernardo do Campo area to an incredible mansion.

A former two-division champion in kickboxing and now under the UFC banner, Pereira (12-5) had an incredible year in 2024 with three title defenses at 205-pounds, a trio of knockouts over Jamahal Hill, Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr. The Brazilian talent is expected to face Magomed Ankalaev in 2025.

Spoiler alert

I hope he’s well paid.

Interesting

He deserves more. I hope he can beat Ankalaev.

Those net worth sites are even less reliable than snopes.

Yeah. I was just wondering what he’s making. At his age he probably hasn’t got many years left at the top. I hope he can set himself up for life and that he’s being smart with his money.

Even if he has $3 million in Brazil that means he has fuck you money.

I knew a dude who grinded 6 years at $25 an hour in Hawaii and lived with the other Brazilians for next to nothing that saved enough money to buy a house on the beach near Curitiba. He worked 50-60 hour weeks a lot, but still.

The cost of construction is next to nothing down there apparently.
