I have a buddy who is an Iraq vet who loved Tim Kennedy.
I told him a few years ago I didnāt know about Tim, heād told some MMA stories that smelled like bullshit to me and I donāt trust people once I think theyāll lie to make themselves sound better. He said āoh, I donāt think Tim would do that. He seems like a great guyā
This weekend he texted me " you were right! Have you seen this time Kennedy shit? Fuck that guy" lol. The only thing this guy hates more than Muslims is stolen valor. He heard the stories and they were convincing enough to him to think Timās full of shit.

Yeah itās stupid to lie about that, who knows why he would do it. But taking the time to actually figure all of that out then making a video about it, Iād say thatās even worse. What a waste of time.

It seemed to kinda morph into guys lying about the details of their service aswell to make them seem more badass.
Forexample someome lying saying they were in the Seals when they never were. They were in the military but never were a Seal. Or someone saying they were in Vietnam but they actually never left the US.
Those are 2 examples I remember of Stolen Valor being called out because people did that.

This is my understanding as well. It can be completely lying about service or just parts of service. Itās more egregious the more it benefits you and diminishes others.

i havent read where he claimed to have a purple heart.
i got add this because some will take it as i like & support him. i dont like & support him.
lied about being the honor grad in ranger schoolā¦possibly lied about being injured in combatā¦no purple heart on his dd-214

being injured in combat does not equal an automatic purple heart. i dont think he has claimed to have purple heart.

I believe theyāre saying he was never hit by said shrapnel. Iām pretty sure thereās phot evidence and heās unharmed.
I dont know the details but claiming you are a wounded vet when you are not would be enough to piss me off if I was a vet.

i would never buy and read his book, but just from the details in the OP it says

100% its possible to require medical attention and not receive the purple heart.

I think lying and saying you were in the military is seriously reprehensible and should be the only time āstolen valorā is used. But I understand why other things would fall into that category.
I have a couple of military friends, and people lying about their military accomplishments is way more common than people would think. A guy I know got a job with a concrete company and his boss was in the service, was never deployed, but brags about being on the frontlines to him. My buddy said he has encountered probably hundreds of people during his service and after, who do nothing but talk about their accomplishments, and he discovered a lot of them lied about what they did during their service time.

This is what these guys do? Were they in the military or something? They need to get a life.
I worked with a dude that was pretty chill. He would always talk about how the only thing he did for 20+ years was drive a forklift as a supply guy. But it turned out he was in Italy the majority of the time and spoke Italian (among other languages) and once he got out he got a job doing liaison shit for Italian companies doing American trade shows and had a hot Italian wife and shit.
I know thatās not like, an amazing ending or anything but it always caught me off guard this goofy motherfucker with no front teeth was some international playboy speaking love languages and living in a million+ dollar house 10 years ago.

I donāt know shit about the military but I watched the whole video in the OP the other day and it seems pretty damning to me. TK absolutely comes across as a BS artist to me
