Schaub shitting on the Sphere card and I agree
Yeah, but we need one in the US
I donât know what in the world cost $22 million in all of that.
5M or even 10M to rent the physical space? Cost $500K to run an ad outside utilizing the entire sphere all day. Surely the same or a bit more to use the screen inside?
I would hope the rest isnât âthe award winning Hollywood production teamâ Dana was boasting about. The cost to make the silly little cartoons shown inbetween the fights? Could have gone to Fiverr and saved a fortune for the same thing.
LOL at hoping to win an Emmy or any other award other than a Razzie for all of that.
Some very rough numbers courtesy of ChatGP:
For instance, venues like the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas or Madison Square Garden can charge a significant amount just for the venue, not including additional costs related to staffing, promotion, and technical requirements. Estimates for hosting a major UFC event at a premium venue can reach between $2 to $4 million depending on the market and venue size.
Renting or advertising at the Las Vegas Sphere is a premium experience. The cost to place an ad on the massive 1.2 million LED light screen on the exterior of the Sphere is estimated at $450,000 per day or $650,000 per week.
Maybe it was incredible live, but on tv I didnât think it was cool or impressive in any way.
I think Brendan is a bozo but heâs right. Blaf and the UFC are retarded and the sphere was a complete joke.
Cant wait for Dana to shit on him and for Bapa to backtrackâŚâme and dana are coolâŚwe talk everydayâ
During the latest episode of his podcast, Schaub gave his assessment of the UFCâs Sphere PPV and the fights that went down at the organizationâs second annual celebration of Mexican Independence Day.
With his preference being excitement inside the Octagon over the additional production that came with the venue, Schaub was left disappointed by the event as a whole.
âMy issue is the product that I paid to watch was not great. It wasnât a pay-per-view-worthy card,â Schaub said. âThe bell of the ball is the Sphere. Therefore, what youâre paying for, unless youâre in-person, ainât that great, dude. And the main event and co-main event, boy did the UFC gamble and they lost.
âYou know what the Sphere is? Itâs Rainforest Cafe. It looks fcking great but the product is sht,â Schaub continued. âUFC doing events at the Sphere is Rainforest Cafe. Looks great, fun experience, the actual product sucks. Iâd rather watch great fights at the Apex center. I donât need all that. Maybe Iâm the minority.â
UFC CEO Dana White has remained firm in calling the Sept. 14 event a one-and-done show, something Schaub and those sharing the same sentiment will no doubt be pleased to hear.
But with plenty calling for a repeat experience down the line, perhaps the promotional higher-ups will be tempted to reverse their stance and put on another night of action at the venue, hopefully with headliners that deliver fireworks second time around.

Lyrics
[Verse] In the octagon, warriors collide Blood and sweat, nowhere to hide Fists fly, dreams on the line Champions rise, itâs their time [Chorus] Fight like a warrior, never back down Itâs the UFC, where legends are crowned Feel the power, hear the crowdâs roar In this cage, we know whatâs in store
The best thing about the event were the ring girl costumes, lol.
They also said there would never be womens fights in the UFC and that they would make it up to the fans for that Silva/Maia PPV.
