The idea is fair use archive of OG broadcasts. Unless the project incurs usage costs down the line, we’re not interested in money. If you want access, submit something new to the library. Or send @Jimmy-Coconuts a picture of your cock and balls and he may consider making an exception.
Got a few of the DVDs from thrifting but never sought out to buy any. Do they still make physical media of events?
I had every PRIDE event that was released on DVD in the U.S. I think the 2002 Shockwave was the only one I didn’t have.
Got drunk about ten years back and decided to throw a bunch of shit away and tossed close to half of them.
Really wish I didn’t do that.
I’m working on WWF/WCW OG broadcast sets too. Replacing wrestling ring entrances was a tragedy that must be undone. It’s my right as an American.
There are some folks out there putting in crazy hours of work to restore WWE Network footage with all original content. I’m trying to snag them one year at a time.
Did you ever watch TNA? Even if you didn’t I cant recommend this DVD enough. Been out for a while so should be able to snag for cheap if you still collect.
Nice. Let me know if you enjoy it if you ever get around to it.
Does anyone have:
PRIDE: The Best, Volume 1, 2, and 3?
What about PRIDE Bushido 11, 12, and 13?
These seem to be impossible to find.
Why can’t you put the UFC events on Plex?
At one point I had every PRIDE DVD distributed in the US. All the individual events, the DVD sets, the GP standalone releases, Bushido, etc.
The Best Buy DVD section (RIP) and FYE (RIP) used to carry them.
Sold most of my physical media around 9 years ago. Sold the PRIDE stuff at a loss, sadly.
My favorite PRIDE release was the Steelbook DVD they had for the 2000 HWGP.
I use to have pride 1- 31 or something plus all the Bushidos. A bunch of early KOTC and Island fights DVDs. I had UFC 3-6 on VHS from live recordings.
All lost to time. I either sold them or just trashed the VHS stuff.
More than I got. Ill share a pic in a bit. But you made.me want to start buying again lol
I think I sold all my MMA DVDs at a flea market over 10+ years (along with a ton of other stuff).
I do remember I thought it was cool some 20yr old newbies to MMA/BJJ got excited to find copies of old school stuff … those guys would be mid 30s and probably long since quit as well by now.
Fuck you Father Time.
Their used to be a wrestling tracker, who also had every UFC event.
I have them in mkv format, no physical media (DVD).
Is there a way I can get these from you?
Holy shit that is awesome. Does the guy have a NAS server at home, or use a cloud hosting service? This is what people are talking about when they say “the lord’s work”.
Look into some sort of drop box that I can upload to. Each event is 2 files, each file is 1 GB. PM me if you come up with something.
There’re other options that would be better if you plan to do this long term/frequently but if you’re just doing it occasionally and the files are under 2GB this is how I’d do it:
