i do think khabibs dad dying had something to do with him retiring. but the real reason was weight. he was not going to be able to make that weight anymore. and his last weigh in was suspect as fuck.

Says no equal on the ground and in wrestling, not the same as calling him GOAT. I’d agree with the statement, but GSP and Jones were better all round fighters. Khabib is probably the most dominant of all time, and I don’t have an issue with people arguing he had the highest peak because of it. But GOAT includes accomplishments (title defenses, win streaks, resumes etc).

GSP is GOAT. Even though everyone’s on roids, Jones popped in his prime multiple times so I can’t put him there, at least without an asterisk. Fedor, Anderson, Aldo and Mighty Mouse are up there. May be forgetting someone, but I think Khabib slots in right after those guys.

Reyes, Dom, and Gus arguably beat Jon
Hendricks arguably beat GSP, Serra made him tap to strikes

they did a lot better than Tibau who lost 30-27 on all three scorecards to Khabib and landed no damage

Hendricks had two good rounds and gassed GSP out pointed him for the rest of the right. Not how I would have wanted…but in pride rules he lost…in UFC rules he won. I agree with you about the first fight with Gus. I have to rewatch the Reyes fight.
