Jon also should have lost to Anthony Smith via DQ.
Strangely enough, if you go watch Jons first ever mma fight, he lands an illegal strike in that fight and could have been DQ’d as well.

Remember thinking Reyes had clearly won 3 rounds to 2.
Jones has a size advantage at 205.
He is mediocre when fighting guys the same height.
Aside from Gane, he can’t finish guys his size. He is like Tito, an expert at cutting weight with chicken legs.

I remember watching it live I thought Reyes won the first three rounds. Haven’t watched it since then. If I get the chance I’ll check it out.

i’d say the only clear round jon won for sure was the 5th. but it’s a really interesting fight to rewatch. hell of a preformance by reyes.

Jones lost that fight
So rewatched this recently because both other times it seemed like a clear Jones win to me and so many posters are adamant Reyes won.
The only argument for Reyes winning is if the fight were three rds. He got the first two. Jones won the last three from my perspective. The best argument the Reyes camp has is for a draw.

I remember Guffoston 1, he could hsve won if he sprinted to the finish line, same with Reyes. You can coast to the end against the goat. Sort like Big Rig coasting against gsp

I felt Jon won, because Reyes got tired. He gave Jones the 5th. That cost him the fight. Thats how I remember it anyway.
Trust me, I wanted Jon to lose so bad.
