Prime Cain vs Prime Stipe, who wins?

Let’s say prime Cain off gear, who wins. I was never much of a Cain fan but the dude was a bad mother when he was healthy. Do you think he runs through Stipe without the secret juice? Post injury and post USADA Cain was very different.

Why no juice?

There seemed to be a huge difference in Cardio and explosiveness for Cain pre and post usada. Cain was a fucking machine on the epo

Are you still competing?

Even at his prime cain had no real finishing power. He would do like a flurry and get a ref stopage but i dont recall anyone getting “put out”.

I think prime stipe can fight off the shot and land some hands on cain.

“prime cain” got iced out by Junior Dos Santos.

In Cains defense he was injured I believe, and he destroyed JDS in the other 2. I wanted JDS to win but Cain was better. That was a bad beatdown

I dont think it would have mattered if he was injured or not.

Cain never beat JDS down like this.

If i remember correctly one cain win was a Decision and the other JDS like head butted the mat or something weird.

Exactly and he couldn’t back out because it was the first show the ufc got to air on a major network

Prime Cain via accidently KOing Stipe’s dad due to shitty aim.

Stipe’s striking + wrestling was too good for Cain to dominate him, and Cain usually fell apart if he couldn’t dominate.

Cain was too chinny for Stipe too.

Stipe by KO/TKO.

You got to lean towards Cain, but Stipe might actually be the UFC GOAT

Stipe was one of the best HW ever and he never stopped working full time as a firefighter. That’s fucking wild.

It was a throw or trip that caused the dive into mat

Cain messed up JDS bad in the second fight. Was a constant beatdown.

I think they called it “UFC on Fox” Gone in 60 seconds

I didn’t know we were walking around saying Cain did EPO… that’s a new one. When did we start casually throwing that out there?

Anyways, I give the edge to Cain, but it’s a great fight I’ve actually thought about. Cain pressures Stipe and I feel like Stipe could counter Cain well since he leaves himself open, Cain catches him off guard and gets a takedown, gets some ground and pound in.

Stipe eventually gets up and lands some really good shots, taking Cain down, who gets up quickly. They go back and forth for a while with the fighter that’s moving forward being the one winning. Either Cain wins a war of attrition or Stipe lands a nice combination and stops Cain in the later rounds.

I feel Cain messed up jds permanently from the last fights

Does Prime Cain have Joe Grasso in his corner for his camp?

If you are asking if I have a confession from Cain then no I don’t have proof. What I do have is my eyes and I can see the difference between pre and post USADA. Cain was a fucking machine and could go full bore for 25 minutes, I’ve never seen a heavy weight with his pace.

After USDA he looked very human

But he only had two fights after USADA, right? He went 1-1. His last fight being after injuries and a 3 year layoff. It also lasted all of 2 minutes. Not much of a sample size.
