Gotta lean towards Stipe on this one, he was a monster. I wish he took years off of firefighting to fully train, cant imagine how good he wouldve been
He looked bellow average against Werdoom
Fedor
that fucker ruined Cain’s career.
doing leg extensions super fast with maxed out weight
then 200 lb kettlebell swings
Is it a surprise he had knee and back issues that ended his career? nope
That hurts my back just watching
Battle of the two UFC heavyweight hype machines.
Stipe couldn’t do shit with JDS in his prime. He only won later. He also lost to C level Struve.
It’s a hard fight to say, Stipe only got a big name because he managed to beat a lot of guys that were on their way out. He traded losses with DC (also on his way out) and Ngannou, and Ngannou beat him much worse than he beat Ngannou.
Then Cain just fought the same guys for years. I actually don’t know who would win, both get clipped and KO’d by Carwin in his prime
Ithough JDS dominated Carwin and won. Did they fight twice? I forget
Stipe and Cain. Both get clipped and blasted by Carwin
Carwin shrank himself to improve cardio against JDS and it didn’t work. Huge mistake and that was his last fight.
Honestly it’s surprising JDS had so much trouble with Cain in the second and third fights.
I think you’d be surprised… oh you are. Carry on.
Not unrealistic imo.
Yeah, JDS beat Carwin but it’s all about the matchup. Cain got wobbled a lot, often due to over aggressively charging in. Even in the 3rd JDS fight, Cain was wobbled a couple of times early. Kongo almost KO’d him more than once and even Brock was landing some in exchanges.
If any of those were Carwin, it could have been over. In the first round, Carwin was probably a bad matchup for Cain. If Cain survived, he’d murder Carwin after that though lol.
I think if Stipe can survive Cain’s initial onslaught I would favour him in a fight in their primes.
Are you sure that was the real reason?
- Shane Carwin was named by a federal prosecutor as a customer of a steroid-dealing pharmacist.
Cain vs Carwin post USADA, who wins?
Carwin went to a UD with JDS, Cain afterward gassed in 22 seconds against Werdum
Came within 10 seconds of tapping him out with that neck crank
That’s tough one to call!
Depends how much of Carwin’s power remains IMHO.
If he retains most of it then I can see him clipping Cain and Velasquez going down.
If not I can see Cain mauling him.
Cain was always chinny!
Remember Check Congo landed a big shot on him wobbling him bad.
Cain is a lot better than Stipe. The division was much stronger during his title run
That’s true. When the big 4 were trading losses Stipe was getting knocked out on the undercard by guys who went life and death with Pat Barry
I think it happened a couple of times in that fight.
