RJJ was already close to 40. Calzaghe is a great one too
When he had already long been defeated by father time… this is like Jones bragging about beating Stipe
A lot of boxers avoided him at his prime. That’s why resume isn’t too strong at the majority of his career. Then he declined past the 2nd Tarver fight

And he ducked calzaghe. Fought him for the bunsen when he was washed
I would’ve liked to see the best Roy Vs Joe tho

Yessir… I mean his resume is fairly spectacular if you consider how many weight classes he won titles in, just maybe not topping GOAT lists.
But my genius brain shows me his genius level talent. I’ve never seen anything like it.
There have been various matrix style fighters in combat sports, but he was the most NEO out of them all. Hands down.
boxing isn’t the best combat sport
I generally agree with this sentiment, but when boxing was great… Fuck it was great.
And RJJ was incredible, one of my all time favorites
Calzaghe is one of my favorites and doesnt get enough credit, but RJJ was past his prime when they fought.

Bollocks. Every fighter who ever lost a fight did so because they were past Thier prime according to you.
Although yeh he was
No that is your interpretation and no one would disagree about RJJ.
According to you everyone blows but Jon. You shit on everyone else.
You just can’t help yourself.
Julio César Chávez introduced me to boxing but Roy Jones made me fall in love. It was like watching a superhero in there. Like others touched on, his attributes were off the charts.
I wish he would’ve fought Jirov at CW after the Ruiz fight, slowly dropped back down to LHW and then fighter Tarver and retire.
Unfortunately he was another athlete that had to fight past his experation tag because of money issues.
Two fights I really wanted to see was against Darius Michaeosfjhrbfhdjfkfn and Calslappy in Roy’s prime. But Calslappy didn’t want those problems.

My current favourite athlete (apart from raygun)
Hahahaha I caught that! Good one!
Roy is the best athlete I ever saw compete. But he’s not the best fighter or the best boxer.
