Roy was too small for Cruiser/HW… he’s a damn blown up MW, but he was so fucking good in his prime he dusts any fighter in existence up to LHW (which is 175 lbs in boxing).
Usyk fought between Cruiser and HW so he’s a much bigger man. Apples and oranges.

I’ve been re watching jones fights and he doesn’t eye poke. Jones utilizes a bladed position when exiting striking exchanges. As a boxer would. You dont do this technique with a closed fist, that would create tension in your upper body and cause you to be stiff as you slide away from your opponent. Jones opponents move in towards him as he slides away and what happens sometimes is they run face first into his fingers. The “eye pokes” are usually an unfortunate result of open fingered gloves.
