We have to pass the Noche to find out what’s in it.
Just came here to post that quote
Teh Fans Have Spoken
the “show” on the screens in between fights will probably be cool. Because thats what the sphere is for. But how the fights will look live when projected on that thing might be an eyesore and tough to watch. Not to mention the ring is pressed up against the edge like if it was a concert. awkward much?
have they been back to mexico after the fight where they threw bottles and started getting rowdy? can’t remember the guys name who fought. mexican dude. creative striker.
It’s a fucking venue with seats.
Of course it will work for fights. Seems to do concerts just fine, what’s the difference?
Teeing up his excuses to blame anything but the shit fights he put together when this card bombs.
Yair Rodríguez?
You guys are being little pissboys.
It’s cool to try new things. Maybe the sphere will be awesome, if not it’s not going to be worse than the apex space or whatever.
yes. thank you. could not remember that for the life of me. been half a tard all day today.
But the Director has given advice on streaming it 4U McTTT
I hope they show some important fight moments from that 400-level perspective!
when you really don’t want an arena full of drunk mexicans you just charge 5000 for a seat.
Have you been in there?
It’s not anything like any typical arena or sporting venue that has concerts. All the seats are on one side of the venue.
It would be like having fights at a movie theater and the ring/cage is right in front of the movie screen.
BKFC First event was like that in LA a few months ago. It was Horrible ! Could NOT see the cage from anywhere but screens
Zellhuber revealed that his parents would be coming to The Sphere to watch his fight. His mother will travel out of Mexico for the first time, making the moment all the more special.
However, when Nicksick asked “Golden Boy” about the tickets, he honestly admitted that White has relied on the wrong audience for UFC 306. He explained how unlikely it is for Mexican people to pay thousands of dollars for a ticket, especially when they can see Canelo Álvarez live for a much lower price nearby.
“You know, it’s funny because I feel that Dana, he target the wrong market with that event. Yeah, in Mexico, we are always watching everything for free, you know, like Mexican people are not going to pay $3000 for a ticket and he’s like, yeah, $3000,the cheapest ticket. No, there’s no way and you know, we have illegal streams so yeah, nobody’s gonna pay anything, you know.”
The UFC lightweight jokingly claimed that his coach expects him to get a quick knockout so they can watch Álvarez’s fight live.
The Mexican fighter also mentioned illegal streams, trying to imply that the UFC CEO shouldn’t expect the PPV numbers to be exceptionally high either. Zellhuber admitted to UFC 306 being a spectacular event, though, and he’ll certainly try to make a name for himself by getting an impressive win on the main card.
It’s a glorified Omni-max on a larger scale.
The set-up makes sense for concerts b/c the screen can add even more immersion to the experience. But what exactly are they going to have on the screen during a sporting event/prize-fight?!?!??! Are they literally going to just project the fight onto the screen?!?!?
