Is anyone excited to see 42 year old Stipe fight?

We all know jones is going to use grappling to submit him. This fight is not going to be competitive. The freak Jones has insanely long arms and is just going to grab him. Hes been training with Gordon Ryan over a year. His new approach is to use a heavy grappling game. Jones via submission is the bet https://youtu.be/-4WmWYGxMKs?si=80KkNeTVfPB-lMhB

Wish him the best, not the opponent and length of time to get it over with I would have preferred. Protect your eyes and knees from Scumby the Sociopath.

Nope

Love Stipe, but he’s washed and hasn’t won a fight in over four years.

No but it would be totally awesome if he was able to knock out Jones and sail off into the sunset

Jones will chop up Stipe’s legs early. Long hard night for Stipe.

I would watch it as long as they’re not naked!

I’m excited to see Stipe lose so everyone who ever mentioned his name as potentially the best hw of all time shuts the fuck up forever

I don’t dislike Stipe personally. Modern MMA fans are so retarded

lol. It’s really hard to call a guy that got flatlined by Stefan Struve the greatest anything.

Wasn’t like that 3 fights into his UFC career? I guess Anderson is out of the conversation as well then.

It wasn’t Stipes third fight ever though. He looked like he was going to be a top five gatekeeper at the time, not a HW GOAT, especially since the division was a bunch of monsters then after they absorbed Strikeforce.

When Silva got to the UFC nobody could even touch him. (I’m still convinced that loss to Chonan in Pride was a fix but have no evidence).

Stipe was 9-0 when he fought Struve. I didn’t say it was his third fight, I said third fight in the UFC. If you fight Struve in your third pro fight, he’s gonna destroy you.

Anderson was 14-2 with a wealth of experience including a very successful PRIDE run. He lost and then went on his legendary run.

Stipe lost to Struve and then went on go 9-1 over the next 6 years, with 6 KO’s. The only thing your response proves is that losses don’t matter as much as what happens after them.

Hell, Dillashaw lost to Dodson early on, Max lost to Bermudez. Even Oliveira had a loss to Jim Miller. I don’t think I need to go on.

That’s a solid argument.
Stipes story is a long slog to the top, not the next coming of Jesus. I personally believe the GOAT talk is unfounded.

I’m looking forward to it hope he ko’s Jones

Stipe was a blue chip prospect from the rip. Velasquez was the only guy that could match his skill set when he was coming up.

Do you memba, bj penn fighting 3 years too long and looking like he was in slo mo? I memba.

No

I just hope that during his long layoff, he learned about throat lozenges.

i hope he shoots him self full of cortizone and gives jon hell. i’m not mad at stipe at all for waiting for this or taking it.

I don’t know how I feel about the best heavyweight in UFC history, but he certainly has an argument based on his resume and title defenses.

I’m more excited to see jones-stipe than I am to see a 58 year old Tyson get butt fucked by some utube faggot.
