Im more impressed with what guys like GSP did not ducking anyone, also going up in weight and never failing a ped test. Fedor is still the man in my eyes, he just stuck around far too long when it was obvious he had lost a step

Super impressive win for Jones and I think he wouldve beat prime Shogun but Shogun had already started declining at that point. He started fighting young and those gym wars fucked all the CB fighters up

I think his first surgery was 2007. His pre surgery record was 16-3. After surgery he was 11-11-1.

Plus his first loss was against Babalu in his 5th fight where Babalu was 23-6/had already fought guys like Fedor, Chuck, Randleman, Dan Henderson, Chael, Mo Smith etc. Thats a tough 5th fight for Shogun
His second loss was against Coleman when he had that freak injury
His only bad loss pre surgery was against Forrest where he looked horrible. I wonder what happened that night, it was shocking to watch

I’ll always wonder what would have happened if he didn’t dislocate his arm in that first Coleman fight cause Mark was mid 40s by the time they rematched.

This is right. Jones faced the non-roided Shogun who had already lost to Forrest and Machida in the UFC. While he did brutally avenge both of those losses, he wasn’t the same as his Pride days.
