It would help if you paid attention. Jon pulled out, and Stipe refused to fight anybody else. Again, who should foot the bill for Stipe’s training camp if he just gets pushed to the side for the casuals flavor of the month? It’s obvious none of you guys have ever fought in your life.
Bob Aspinall is a nobody that lost to bums we’ve never even heard of. He’s desperate for Jones attention to give himself some sort of relevance, and Jon isn’t playing this nobodies game.
Jon is smart not to worry about somebody else when he has a fight coming up. I’m going to laugh my ass of when they do fight, and Jones mops the octagon with him. Then all you Jones haters move onto the next guy he’s ducking… Just like he was ducking the Gustafson rematch for all those years lol

Jones is the champion of the division and hes the interim champion and no1 contender. Its not like Jon is just randomly there and Tom keeps illogically asking for him. Who the fuck is Tom supposed to want to fight in that position?

Its not an ATG resume or anything but the idea that he “hasnt done anything” is BS. Pavlovich at that time was a pretty high end win. Big HW with Jon Jones reach, in his prime, maybe the biggest puncher in the division and had a ton of momentum going in. A lot of people thought Tom was gonna lose that fight.

Plus they only made Fedor/Hendo because Fedor had taken two bad losses in a row. It was supposed to be an easier fight.

Still though. Fedor was coming off of back to back bad losses, Jon is the literal champ. Hendo was quite active and had gone 5-1 over the previous 3 years, Stipe hasnt fought at all in closer to 4 years.

Jon signed to fight Stipe, and its the match they both want, the rest (time off etc) is just noise, the fighters/UFC honouring are doing what they said they’d do, this is the right thing.
THEN the winner (let’s assume Jones, but it doesn’t matter for my point) fights the interim champ you know why? because that’s what champions do! a champion would want to take the pretender, you ensure you are undisputed, and THAT adds to a legacy.
if Jon was the alpha, top guy he would be actively pursuing wanting that fight next. At most, he would not comment because of not wanting to see past Stipe and be humble but, well, its Jones we are talking about here lol
but denigrating Tom and name calling is the opposite. hes the guy with part of your belt, and you should be wanting to fight for it, whoever has it.

Tom has zero losses unless you count his injury to Blaydes who he just KO’ed in the first round. Are you referring to ammy fights from a decade ago or something? I honestly haven’t checked that far back in the dossier.
Jon has one lousy win in the HW division against the worst grappler he fought in his career. Aspinall has nigh cleared out the division and is the far more accomplished HW and the odds on favourite to win.
